Nucleic acids are biopolymers made out of of nucleotide monomers that encode the essential language of life! Nucleotide monomers are composed of a 5-carbon sugar, a nitrogenous base and a phoshate group which all give unique biochemical properties to nucleic acids. Gel Electrophoresis is a widely used molecular biology and biochemistry method that utilizes those properties and seperate nucleic acid samples with respect to their molecular sizes.
Determine the double bonds in fatty acids qualitatively and make the qualitative determination of cholesterol by a chemical method.
Classify carbohydrates and define terms reducing sugar and glycosidic bond. Fehling reaction will be depending on the properties of the saccharides.
