Objectives

• To evaluate the effect of genetic engineering and biotechnology applications to human life
• To state that continuity of life depends on the transfer of genetic material from one generation to another,
• To explain genetic engineering techniques and practices in analyzing or manipulating genetic material of an organism
• To state inheritable genetic variations may result from transformation and to develop a living model to demonstrate horizontal gene transfer
